Why work for Huntercombe?

At Huntercombe, our nurses do something extraordinary every day. They make a difference to the lives of children and adults with complex needs such as mental health conditions, learning difficulties or brain injuries.

We’re looking for caring and committed individuals who want to work with a company that understands how important nurses are to our patients’ recovery.

You may already be experienced in one of our specialist areas or thinking about specialising (RMN / RGN / RNLD all welcome)- if so, you have come to the right place. Huntercombe is proud of its reputation as one of the leading providers in areas like eating disorders and brain injury.

Many of our patients arrive with complex and challenging needs. Huntercombe nurses work in small teams with doctors, support workers, therapists and other experts, and together they make a world of difference to people’s lives.

Join one of our nursing teams

Our registered nurses play a huge role in the lives of patients and residents, supporting and encouraging them to achieve their goals and ambitions. Our nurses are listened to and highly respected throughout the organisation.  We respect the professional view of nurses, who shape how we deliver care: so much so that a third of the senior management team are qualified nurses.

Nurses say that no two days are the same, the work they do is varied and every person we care for has different needs.  The care we provide is focused around the needs of the patient, putting in place the support, the treatment and the care patients need to help their recovery or rehabilitation.  Our patient focus gets great results which makes Huntercombe a very rewarding place to work.

When you join the Huntercombe Group as a registered nurse (RMN/RNLD), you will be part of a company that truly values nurses and prioritises safe and high-quality care above all else.

As a registered nurse (RMN/RNLD), your main duties will include:

  • Providing high standards of nursing and therapeutic care in the rehabilitation of patients.
  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams, and providing supervision and guidance to support workers and other team members
  • Assessing and carrying out effective individual care and treatment for the rehabilitation, recovery and support of patients and residents
  • Taking on the role of named nurse, acting as a primary contact for particular patients or residents and their family
  • Participating in clinical meetings to review and suggest relevant changes to patient care
  • Coordinating shifts, making sure patients and residents are allocated suitable care, providing guidance to other team members, and overall ensuring the efficiency and safety of the ward or site
